Designed for manufacturing professionals and built on a powerful, flexible, and scalable platform.
We’ve updated and re-organized behaviors for Visual Components 4.0, so defining component behavior is much easier. We’ve also added a new physics behavior, powered by the NVIDIA PhysX engine. Now, you can simulate and visualize functionality affected by physical forces, such as collisions, gravity, and material properties.
Visual Components 4.0 was developed to take full advantage of the 64-bit Windows environment. This means better graphics, faster loading times, and a much smoother user experience. Navigating large layouts is more fluid. We’ve improved memory management so you can run heavier simulations in the background while working on other applications. We’ve also updated the CAD converter, so CAD geometries are imported much faster into the 3D world.
We’ve updated our user interface and made significant improvements to the user experience. Visual Components 4.0 utilizes a familiar ribbon user interface, so commands are better organized and discoverability of new features is much easier. 3D navigation is now always available, allowing for more flexible zooming, panning, and rotation of layouts. We’ve also simplified and streamlined several of the operations and workflows, saving you time in layout configuration and component design.
Our new architecture is more open and modular, making customization of the platform much easier. Visual Components 4.0 is built on .NET, providing a familiar framework for many developers. We also have a Python API, which is available in all Visual Components 4.0 products. We’ve redefined and re-organized the core services layer, so it’s now more accessible and designed to allow for easy customization of everything, from the UI to simulation behaviors.
We’ve added new rendering modes and improved existing viewing options, helping you see more details and features and providing a richer and more immersive viewing experience. We’ve updated the lighting and shading models and added the ability to view material textures, so models in the 3D world look more realistic and pictures and videos exported from the platform are marketing-grade. We’ve also added a new x-ray mode, so you can more easily identify root causes and issues when you’re designing new components, configuring layouts, and analyzing collisions.
